Walleye: 8–13 ft along the weed edges, with Tamarack Bay, the Third River area and stretches of the east shoreline holding fish; pulling a spinner with white in it, plain white or white-and-red, tipped with a crawler or a fathead; the bite keeps improving as the water cools into the low 70s. Perch: starting to school up, some shallow and some still deep; here one day and gone the next, so run the electronics; a jig and a minnow. Crappie: the outside edges of the reeds in Tamarack Bay, Dam Bay and the inner bay, and on the deeper weedline edges in Big Cutfoot; a jig with a chunk of crawler, or a jig and crappie minnow for the crappies; bluegills and crappies both going well. Pike: 5–9 ft; spoons, crankbaits or spinnerbaits; it does not seem to matter, the pike are biting. Conditions summarized from the Sep 4 Livin MN Outdoors report — watch it at the source link.
