Featured spot

Freethrough Dec 31$20/mo

From January it's $20 a month, and Stripe emails you before then. Cancel any time.

  • Your card at the top of the guide list on the lakes you pick, with your photo, writeup, phone number and website.
  • Those lakes are yours for the season. Nobody else can buy them while you hold them.
  • Anglers looking at nearby lakes and your county page see your card too.
  • Shown only for the species you guide and the months you run. Off-season, it pauses and you are not billed.
Season

Second and third lakes stay within 50 miles of your first. The biggest lakes, like Mille Lacs or Leech, each take a spot of their own.

Seasons, lakes and reach

Two seasons

Open water runs April through November, ice December through March. Each season is its own spot, so an ice guide and an open-water guide can hold the same lake.

Three home lakes

Up to three home lakes, within 50 miles of the first. On your home lakes your card is at the top and the spot is yours alone. The biggest lakes are sold one at a time.

Your travel radius

Lakes within the travel radius you set, up to 50 miles, show your card alongside up to three other guides, nearest first, and so do the county pages it reaches.

Not ready to be featured? There's a free listing.

Your business name, base town, species, phone number and a link to your site or Facebook page, on every lake you guide, in the app only. Every application is read by hand, so it is not instant.

Questions

What happens in January?
Your spot is free through December 31, 2026. If you add a card on your billing page before then, it stays yours at $20 a month. Stripe emails you a reminder. If you don't, the listing ends on January 1 and the lake opens up again. Ice guides: December is free, January on is $20 a month.
Can two guides buy the same lake?
Only in different seasons. An ice guide and an open-water guide can each hold the same lake. Within a season it is one guide, and the first to buy holds it. If your lake is taken for your season, pick another lake or take the free listing.
What happens in my off-season?
You pick the months you run on the setup form, inside the season you bought. Outside those months your listing is hidden and you are not billed. The pause and the restart are automatic. You can change your months any time from your manage page.
How do I cancel?
Any time, from your own billing page. The email we send when your listing goes live has the link, and from there you can update your card or cancel outright. If you never got that email, write to david@nedmaps.com. Your listing runs to the end of the free period, or of the month you have paid for.
How long does the free listing take?
Every application is read by hand, so it is not instant. You will hear back by email.
What photo do I need?
A wide photo of the boat, the water or a good fish. It is optional, and you can add a logo too.
Can I change my listing later?
Yes. When your listing goes live we email you a link to your own manage page, where you can change your writeup, photo, species, months and travel radius any time. Changing which lakes you hold goes through david@nedmaps.com.
